Programme outline

During this session, Phil will discuss why it’s so important for any business to develop strategic objectives along with the actions required to achieve them, and the steps accountants can take to help their business or their clients to put this into practice.

Phil Sayers, Founder, Proten Sales Development

Phil Sayers helps accountants and B2B business owners improve the effectiveness of their selling activities and ultimately build a better business. He has worked for, run and owned small businesses, and has worked with accountants for many years, so he understands the mind set it takes to be successful, and understands the pressure that accountants and business owners have to handle every day.

Proten Sales Development provides 1-2-1 and group sales training and there’s even an online, on demand sales training programme “EPIC Selling”. For Accountants who want more intensive support, we also provide 1-2-1 coaching and Mastermind Groups.

Phil also runs the UK sales activity for The Gap, a product designed by accountants to help firms market, sell and deliver advisory services in a structured, scalable and consistent way, delivering real value to clients.

Our Virtual Business Forums are held on the second Wednesday of the month between 6pm – 7.30pm. At each session we will focus on a ‘hot topic’, this will include a 30-40 minute talk by an expert speaker followed by the opportunity to discuss, share experience and knowledge, discuss any problems, and receive advice and guidance. For many people, this continues to be a very challenging time and whilst there will be a focus on business matters, we also hope to make the sessions relatively informal, providing you with an opportunity to see a friendly face and speak to a number of different people.

We understand the need to provide a safe space where you can feel comfortable in seeking advice from others and have open conversations. As such, we have made the decision to follow ‘Chatham House rules’ and will be not be recording these sessions, and all participants must refrain from taking screenshots or making their own recording. This is to ensure that everybody at the sessions feel at ease and can be open as they wish to be.
