  • Michael Forster, CPA, CGMA

    Mike is Chief Operating Officer of the Wilson Center and oversees daily management with focal responsibility for strategic plan implementation, fiscal management and accountability, infrastructure and external business partnerships. He is senior advisor to the CEO, and liaison to the board and leadership team on all business matters, and coordinates with the U.S. Office of Management & Budget and Capitol Hill for federal appropriations. He strategically advises on the Center's wide array of programs and resources, helping the institution toe-the-line with its legal status as both a federal trust instrumentality and non-profit enterprise.

    Prior to joining the Wilson Center, Mike worked for other institutions chartered by Congress including being Chief Financial & Administrative Officer at the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and EVP & CFO at the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation. He has also held professional and leadership roles at the Washington Post Co., MAXIMUS, INC., Arthur Andersen, LLP, and Mitchell & Titus, LLP.

    Mike earned his BBA at George Washington University and his MSA at Central Michigan University. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and member in both the AICPA and GWSCPA. He is currently serving a 4 year appointment on the Financial Accounting Standards Board's (FASB) Non-profit Advisory Committee (NAC) and is a member of the AICPA NFP Conference Planning Committee. He has served on various other boards and serves as guest lecturer at local universities. speaking on varying topics in financial management, business economics, business optimization, strategic leadership and government operations.

  • Ash Noah, CPA, FCMA, CGMA, Vice President, CGMA External Relations, AICPA

    Ash Noah, Vice President CGMA External Relations –at the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), focuses on introducing, promoting and widening awareness of the Chartered Global Management Accountant® (CGMA) designation among organizations worldwide. He works closely with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and acts as a liaison to the CFOs and CEOs of Fortune 1000 companies and other significant organizations.

    Ash has previously served as CFO of the International Unit of the global transport and logistics provider, TNT Express, and has led finance teams in 45 countries through significant transformation. While at TNT, Ash worked with CIMA to help build Business Partnering competencies in the finance function. He has been closely involved in mergers and acquisitions in Brazil, Chile, India and Spain. He has also led a number of business turnarounds in the Middle East, Africa, Australia, Northern Europe and Asia.

    Ash is a licensed US CPA CGMA and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He is currently based in Durham, North Carolina.

  • Amy West, CPA, CGMA

    Amy West is currently the Chief Financial Officer of AHRC New York City (""AHRC""). AHRC is an organization that provides critical services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. In the role of Chief Financial Officer, Amy oversees the wide array of financial and administrative functions, strategic financial initiatives, real property, information technology and special projects that enable AHRC to fulfill its mission. Amy has direct responsibility for AHRC's operating budget of nearly $300 Million and manages a staff of ninety. Prior to joining AHRC, Amy served for eight years as the Director of Finance of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. Amy also held the position of Vice President of Finance and Budget at the United States Fund for UNICEF and worked as an auditor at Ernst & Young LLP specializing in the healthcare and not-for-profit industries. She began her career as the Coordinator of Fiscal Operations for the New York Public Library.

    Amy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Hunter College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. She is actively involved in Hunter College's Mentoring Program, Secretary of the Financial Managers Association and is a member of the New York State Society of CPAs Not-For-Profit Committee. In addition, she serves on the AICPA Not-For-Profit Industry Conference Steering Committee and NYSARC's Financial Sustainability and CFO Committees. Amy also served on the Financial Committee of Human Services Council's ""New York Nonprofits in the Aftermath of FEGS: A Call to Action"" project."
