Lorraine Ellison, FCMA, CGMA, MBA - Founder Director Simply Additions Ltd

After 20 years in industry as Financial Controller in manufacturing and service-based companies. Lorraine set up her compliance practice in 2007. She now has over 200 customers and seven members in the team and runs a 100% digital accountancy firm in the North East of England. She gained tax and accounts knowledge by continuous research and by making mistakes along the way. Lorraine is keen to pass on that learning so new MiPs can get to success faster and with far less pain. As part of her journey, Lorraine has been a finalist in the QuickBooks Firm of the Future Contest (2017), and the North East Accountancy Awards. She is fondly known as the Queen of QuickBooks, specialising in start-ups and small limited companies in the service industry. Lorraine is a volunteer, serving on the CIMA Members in Practice panel, and is Conference Co-Chair for the MiP 2021 Annual Conference (virtual). She is a regular contributor to the MiP community, helping new MiPs though their first year of being a member in Practice.
