IFRS Update- North London

The big IFRS standard changes may now have bedded in, but over recent years the IASB have issued a plethora of standard amendments. These are often harder to keep up with than a whole new standard. In this presentation, Andrew will run through the changes and the implementation dates. The Interpretations Committee have also made some recent decision which could be important for you, for example the conclusions on accounting under IAS 38 which impact the treatment of SaaS costs.

In addition, there are some significant developments in narrative reporting ongoing for large companies. Andrew will give an overview of those changes.

Andrew is an independent consultant specialising in accounting advice and technical training, as well as providing part time or short term finance resource to companies. Prior to becoming independent Andrew was an Audit Director with KPMG where he was responsible for the audit of a mixed portfolio of large international companies; growing owner managed business. He also spent time within KPMG's Accounting Advisory Services team where he worked on providing solutions to complex accounting problems and assisted clients with GAAP conversions. He is experienced in IFRS and UK GAAP. Andrew is also an experience presenter and has delivered financial reporting training to many organisations in the UK and overseas, he is a freelance presenter for BPP.
