  • Dr. Andrew Yakubu Olawale

    Dr. Olawale is an Associate Director at KPMG UK where he advises clients, provides assurance and strategic insights for boards and leaders of organisations in relation to their capital projects, programmes and investments. He also delivers due diligence reviews for lenders in relation to their exposure to companies involved in capital projects. He is qualified as both a Chartered Accountant (ACMA) and a Chartered Surveyor (Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).

    He completed an MBA at the University of Warwick, a PhD at the University of the West of England, Bristol and an MSc at the University of Leeds.

    He is also a non-executive board director at Pioneer group and a member of the finance, audit and risk committee. Prior to joining KPMG, he held senior positions at FTSE 100 and 250 companies. He was also a lecturer at Aston University and has researched and published in the areas of capital project controls, cost management and project performance.

    His work has been published in many journals including International Journal of Project Management and the International Journal of Project Organisation and Management. He is the author of the forthcoming book “Project control fundamentals, methods and best practices for project success”.

    He uses over 18 years of practical industry experience in the areas of capital projects, commercial finance and assurance combined with his subject matter research expertise in these areas, to provide effective solutions that help clients save cost, improve performance and ROI of their capital projects and programmes.
