Speaker Biographies

Rebecca McCaffry, Associate Technical Director, CIMA

Rebecca is Associate Technical Director at the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. As part of the Research and Development team, her work explores public sector management accounting, talent management and finance transformation.

Rebecca was awarded CIMA Fellowship in 2015. She is a member of Accountancy Europe’s public sector expert group, and a Teaching Fellow at the University of Greenwich Business School.

Suba Suriyar, Finance & HR Director, Breathe Energy

Suba Suriyar, Finance & HR Director at Breathe Energy Ltd (part of EDF Energy). A senior finance Leader experienced in transforming and implementing operational & finance strategies and successfully leading acquisitions and divestments.

Prior to Breathe, Suba gained over 25 years of experience across Sri Lanka, Africa, US, and the UK, having held senior positions at Servomex Group and at Spectris Plc (a FTSE 250).

Suba is a CIMA member, currently involved with the Women in Leadership forum within CIMA and an active member of the Women in Imtech (immediate parent company of Breathe Energy) forum & network promoting diversity and inclusion across the organisation.
