2022 Annual MiP Virtual Conference: Think Big!

  • Date: Friday 20 and Saturday 21 May
  • Time: 9am - 4pm
  • Venue: Crown Plaza Chester, CH1 2BD

This conference will look to give you the tools to run your business to the best it can be and will give you the opportunity to gain valuable CPD, as well as network with other MiPs and unlock the secrets to growing your business!

As accountants in practice you are business people and it is important that you invest in yourselves to allow you to improve and develop, as well as your practices.

The conference is organised by our MiP Panel, using their own experiences to select speakers and workshops that are relevant and informative. The speakers have been chosen for their specialist skills and have been asked to make their sessions practical. You will pick up some essential tools and techniques that you can apply to your business straight away. If you can apply only a fraction of what you learn, your business and life will be transformed.

Across the two days, you will be able to meet with speakers after their session, connect with the MiP Panel, meet new people and catch up with old friends. CIMA MiPs go out of their way to help other members working in practice so, even if you do not know anyone when you attend the conference, you will be sure to have made many useful contacts by the end.

Be prepared to be inspired and re-energise your business. Many practices have had a crazy time during the pandemic and need to re-focus their efforts. The MiP Conference is the ideal place to go.

Here are just some of the topics we will be covering:

  • Resilience
  • Making Tax Digital - getting you ready for the changes coming in 2024
  • Creating a Successful MiP Practice
  • Sustainability
  • Anti-Money Laundering Updates

What have delegates been saying about the conference?

“This will be my 28th consecutive year of attending the MIP Annual Conference. Once again, the program is packed with a great mix of technical and soft skills CPD. The networking with fellow members as well as the tips received has helped me grow my businesses to another level. Whether you are a new MIP, thinking of becoming a MIP or long-standing practitioner, don’t just think about it -book it. You don’t improve yourself sitting in the office! We also have fun it’s certainly not a typical accountancy event.” Mark Allen, FCMA, CGMA, TAG Accountants.

“If you want to keep abreast of the latest learning on what is happening in the MIP community, CPD updates, what you need to be doing to "grow your business" and to catch up and network with other MIPS (which on it's own is more than worth the cost of attending) then you have to be there!” Kim Marlor, ACMA, CGMA, KMA Accountancy

“Loving my first conference fantastic presentations and an invaluable opportunity to speak to fellow MIPs. Many thanks to all involved. I would never have formed relationships with the likes of Julie, Gemma and Emma without the conference.” Anne Marshall ACMA CGMA. We Love Numbers Ltd

“It was great to attend the first-ever CIMA Member in Practice Virtual conference the last two days. One of the best things is that any sessions I couldn't attend I will be able to watch back - how good is that! Not only is this a chance to network with my fellow CIMA members in practice but it also allows me to keep my knowledge up to date. So a huge thank you to all my fellow MiPs who help organise this. Reflecting back, I think it made me realise that I don't have to know everything and indeed no one knows everything but there is a wealth of knowledge out there that you can tap into.” Emma Willder, FCMA CGMA, CG (Affiliated), Director, Beyond Profit Ltd
