Andrew will discuss how you can manage your workload, also develop and engage your team members, by using effective delegation skills.

He’ll consider the reasons why you should delegate, why you may be reluctant to delegate, and what you could delegate to benefit yourself and your team members.

Andrew will share some practical techniques and approaches to help you become a better delegator – whether your team members are working virtually or working physically together.

There’ll be some time at the end to answer any questions you may have.

    Andrew Deighton set up AWD Development Solutions in April 2014 after working at Rolls-Royce plc for 26 years. He wanted to focus on what he really enjoys doing – developing people and teams so they can grow businesses.

    Following an initial career as an engineer, Andrew moved into HR and development roles. He’s led the HR workstream on a £40m manufacturing facility build, been head of employee development for a 7,000 people division, and head of early career pipeline in a business recruiting over 1,000 apprentice and graduate trainees a year.

    Andrew has international experience as the HR director for a £600m turnover, 2,000 people global business based in Singapore, and has developed the executive recruitment, development, succession planning and reward strategy in a joint venture team bidding for a £7bn contract.

    He now delivers projects, workshops, training, facilitation, coaching and talks to a broad range of organisations.

    Andrew’s particular focus is on team building and team member and leader development. He’s created a practical team development framework and has published ‘The exceptional team blueprint™’ and ‘The exceptional team blueprint™ planner’ on Amazon.

    Andrew is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and a member of the Professional Speaking Association.
